New Atsocas – Update

It’s been pointed out that the info I put on the blog regarding the new ATSOCAS may be slightly misleading, so I’m more than happy to correct it.

An ATCO from Aberdeen has commented as follows :-

BASIC is not the only service that a VFR pilot is likely to get. Subject to workload at any ATS unit, ask and ye shall receive. If all GA pilots ever ask for is BASIC, then that’s all they’ll get, but there is more available. And it would have been worth pointing out that ALL services (including Deconfliction) are available to VFR flights (of course RAS was IFR only).
