I managed to get hold of the postcode of where the boys put down the other day. As you will see from the Google Earth screenshot above, they were 3.6NM from the River Thames. This represents 2.4 minutes flying time at 90kts.
It simply doesn’t bear thinking about the potential consequences if they had flying at a slighter faster cruise speed or had stronger tailwind or some other factor that would have seen them over the River Thames 3 minutes earlier.
It makes you realise why we should all put fresh underwear each day.
